Collaborating with Different Personality types

When I think about collaboration with different types of people, the first thing that I think of is to respect other’s personality. For me, this is definitely important in collaborating well not only with group member but also with anybody I know. Any person can have good aspects in their personality which I might not have. So I respect my family, all of my friends, and people I have met in my life. In my point of view, when you collaborate with different personality types, it makes a difference in how you approach their good aspects and it brings out the best for collaborating well with them.
Also, the other thing I would like to emphasize in collaborating with different types of people is to praise the person’s abilities. I am not sure that it works for any person, but I believe that people will have confidence in their abilities about what they behave if they are praised. As a result, they can perform well with a lot more confidence than before. Since I am more of an introverted person rather than an extrovert, I am not good at speaking in front of people. However, I will be able to have confidence to speak if someone who is in the same group with me praises my good points or agrees with my opinion strongly. At least, I will try to think about speaking in front of people. At the same time, praising an extroverted person is also effective for collaboration, for instance, in group work because they originally tend to be active in speaking in front of people so they can speak more actively and confidently and then, they will lead the group work well by being praised. Therefore, teachers always should keep this in their minds when they try to think about collaboration with many types of students in the classroom.
