Collaborating with different personality types

I agree with Mamchur in Chapter 8, that if teachers adapt the curriculum so that it meets the needs of all students in the class who come in with all different personality types, it will greatly benefit them. I don’t think the curriculum is meant to be rigid, but should be thought of as a guideline for teachers and that gives them room to play with it to suit all students, as mentioned before.
Since there are new students each school year or each semester, it is important to get to know your students and their individual differences in the beginning of the term. This can make collaborating different personality types a lot easier, in my opinion. One way this can be achieved is by asking the students to take personality tests or doing other individual/group exercise that will give the teacher an idea of the mix of students he or she will be working with for the remainder of the school year. However, I’d like to note that the personality tests should be used strictly as a guideline and as a general idea of the mix of students they are working with. I’m thinking it will help determine how the teacher will adapt the curriculum to the students if they get to know their students before anything else.
Another advantage of getting to know your students before jumping into the semester is it also gives the students a chance to get to know each other through partner and group activities. This way, they will know what personality types match their own and this is a good foundation for deciding which students you will pair together. Furthermore, it will help the teacher find effective ways to both discipline and reward children of various personality types.
Another suggestion I have is allowing the students to choose what methods of learning they would like to incorporate in the classroom so that their personal needs are met, which works well if the children know what supplementary resources they would like to include in the lesson so that they better understand the material.
Collaborating with different personality types is important both inside and outside the classroom. Schools say they would like to prepare their students for their futures in the work force, and being able to work effectively with all different types of people is essential and sometimes necessary.

I really liked your post especially when you mentioned how, "it is important to know your students and their indivudual difference", I feel like if you intially learn to collaborate with your students from the beginning that it'll make it easier for yourself to adapt to the changes in their personalities as they begin to mature. I feel like they may start the year with a certain personality and by the end of it you may notice a bit of change.
