Collaboration and personality types

I think, in the collaborative process, teachers will have successful classroom activities, methods and ideas. Collaboration also gives teachers insights on using oral instruction in a mixed ability class. Sharing ideas together with colleagues exposes teachers to different types of activities related to oral instruction.

I believe that, to be successful in the teaching process, teachers need to respect the different types of learners and help them to maximize their strengths and work on developing their weaknesses.
Each of the different types of learning styles plays a unique role in a learning environment. Collaboration allows teachers to learn effective classroom management techniques from one another. There are many possibilities for collaboration. Teachers can collaborate in many different areas and in different ways .A teacher not only, he collaborated with his/her colleagues, but must also work with his/her students who according Mamchur, they differ in 4 categories:

Sensing learners are focused on aspects of the physical environment. They try to be realistic and practical, preferring to rely on information gained through experience. While people with a sensing learning style enjoy order and routine, they also can   adapt themselves to changing environments and situations. They are generally careful, practical and patient. Intuitive learners prefer to discover new relationships and can be innovative in their approach to problem solving. Intuitive learners tend to work faster and dislike repetition and work which involves a lot of memorisation and routine calculations.

Judging learners are very decisive. They may make decisions too quickly before learning everything they need to know about a situation. These learners prefer order and structure, which is why they tend to plan out activities and schedules very carefully. They are very organized; they like the details and have strong opinions.

Perceiving learners like to make decisions impulsively in response to new information and changing situations. However, these learners tend to focus more on indulging their curiosity rather than making decisions. Unlike judging learners who tend not to change their minds, perceiving learners prefer to keep their options open. They like to start many projects at once- and sometimes they don’t finish them, and they jump in to projects without planning.
